Merry Christmas friends! I love this time of year and all that it brings - time with family, great food, the birth of Jesus and time celebrating this singing Carols, carols and more carols and of course the joy of gift giving.
My very simple thought today, as I close out blog writing for a few weeks and take some time to holiday with family, is this - one of the greatest gifts you can give is the gift of your presence. A listening ear, a hug that lasts just a little longer than usual, a snuggle with a child on the lounge watching a Christmas movie, a stroll on the beach chatting with a loved one, watching a sunset or taking time to intentionally encourage and speak life and hope.....these are the greatest gifts.
Can I encourage you this Christmas to consider how you might be able to give the gift of your presence to those around you....it will mean the world and quite possibly be remembered long after the shimmer of the latest toy or gadget fades.
